There are several things I would like to accomplish this year. Naturally I would like to do well on the SAT, get good grades, and hopefully have some fun as well. However, academics are not my only priority. I play the cello, and would like to hold first chair in the Legacy High School Symphonic Orchestra. I would settle for second, but would be disappointed in myself if I held a lower chair for any length of time.
I am also involved in Legacy’s drama program, but I have never had a major role before. In our most recent production, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, I played Mrs. Salt, which was a bigger part than most of the roles I had last year, however I hope that this year I will be cast as a bigger character in at least one of our productions.
Sometime in the next couple of months, I want to be able to run five miles without having to stop and walk to catch my breath. Right now I can run about three-and-a-half or four if I push myself, depending on how hot it is. I’m not in track because I don’t have time for it, but I love running.

I never knew you liked running.
that’s really cool, and I think it’s really important to have personal goals like that.

You were hilarious as Mrs. Salt. Just thoguht I’d let you know. :]
Those are really interesting goals! I like that they reflect on you as a person and who you want to be, rather than the generic “do well in school”.
And wow…four miles without stopping? I’m jealous.
